Welcome The IP Centre of Excellence for the North is a resource for intellectual property professionals in universities, business and private practice in the North of England. The project was launched by Addleshaw Goddard, BPP Law School, Cobbetts LLP, DLA Piper Rudnick Gray Cary, Harrison Goddard Foote, Kirwans, Nabarro Nathanson and nipc and supported enthusiastically by businesses, law firms, patent and trade mark attorneys and universities throughout the North of England and beyond. The Centre was launched on 24 Nov 2005 with presentations by Peter Hayward of the Patent Office and Ian Lewis of Miller Insurance on advisory opinions under s.74A and s.74B of the Patents Act 1977.
